CAT score is the total marks obtained by a candidate in the entrance exam. Conventionally CAT is a 300 marks exam scored from 100 questions i.e. 3 marks per question and one negative marks for a wrong answer. Score is not widely circulated data for CAT but percentile. Many IIMs also consider sectional cut off for ex IIM Trichy sectional cut off is 80, 80 and 95 for QA, VARC & DILR respectively overall it is 94. Percentile can be mapped with the score on the basis of this score vs percentile mapper.
