SRM University Admissions

The SRM University generally conducts its entrance exam known as SRMJEEE and SRMCAT for admission to engineering and management Courses respectively. Admission to SRM UG medical courses is on the basis of marks scored in NEET Exam. The admission to other UG and PG courses is usually merit-based. The application process for SRM University is both online and offline.

Steps to Apply:

Step 1: Visit the official website of the SRM University.

Step 2: Register and login with the provided email ID and password.

Step 3: Complete the application form and attach the necessary details such as scanned copy of signature, coloured photograph, class X marksheet & XII marksheet (size not more than 500 kb).

Step 4: Successful submission of application form will depend upon the payment of application fee.

Step 5: For online registration or downloaded forms, candidates need to pay INR 1100 either through e-payment or DD.

Step 6: However, the cost for the offline application form obtained from the university office is INR 1160.

Step 7: Upon successful submission of the application form, students need to save their application number for future reference.

SRM University Entrance Exam

SRM University conducts entrance exams for admission to its various courses. The admission tests are conducted separately for different branches of study.

SRMJEEE

• SRMJEEE Or SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Exam is conducted for admission to B.Tech. programs offered at SRM Group of Universities.
• The minimum eligibility requirement for applying to SRMJEEE is 10+2 in science stream with a minimum of 60% marks.

Latest! SRMJEEE 2020: The last date to receive applications online is March 30 and the deadline to receive applications offline is February 29, 2020. To submit the application, candidates will have to pay a fee of 1,100 each. Exam will be held in month of April.

SRMCAT

• The University conducts SRMCAT for admission to the MBA program offered at the SRM University Campuses.

• The minimum eligibility to apply for SRMCAT is a graduate degree in any stream with a minimum of 60% marks.

SRM University Scholarships

The institution provides scholarships to students on merit as well as need basis. Scholarships names are given below:

• Merit Scholarship: Fee waiver of 50% for students with above 95% in CBSE or in State Board examinations.

• Founder's Scholarship: Full waiver on books, tuition, hostels & mess, plus a stipend of Rs.1, 000 per month to top state, JEE, SRMEEE & AIEEE rankers, sportspersons and socio-economic disdained.

• Merit-cum-means Scholarship: 25% to 100% tuition fee waiver is provided to students who are economically challenged based on their performance in the qualifying examination.

• Scholarships for special merits: Scholarship with tuition fee waivered up to 100% is offered to some of the students owning exemplary skills in literary debating, fine arts, and others.

SRM University Placements

In September, 2019 at Kattankulathur, Beating last year’s impressive count of 3020 offers from big four IT companies, a phenomenal 4,749 offers have been made to the graduating class of 2020 students of SRM Institute of Science and Technology in this placement season. About 1879+ students have been made Super Dream (INR 10 LPA) and Dream offer (INR 5 LPA) so far. Students are also recruited by companies from the Core Engineering sector.

TCS Ninja has made the highest offers in a day while the other three tech giants also recruited students in large numbers. 

Apart from this, TCS has made 183 offers under ‘Digital Track’ (7 lakhs per annum), said Director, Career Centre at SRMIST, Sriram Padmanabhan.

• More than 120 companies have visited the campus this year since the commencement of the placement season on July 22 and have made close to 7647+ offers as on date.
• Top recruiters this year include TCS Ninja, Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro, Amazon (18 offers of 32 lakhs per annum), Barclays (25 offers of 10 lakhs per annum) and start-up Udaan (4 offers of 30 lakhs per annum).
• Organizations like Veritas and Pay Pal have made internship linked placement offers.
• Highest offer: INR 41.6 lakhs per annum by Microsoft.
